We use top-shelf Alesis near field monitors powered by a Yamaha amplifier for sound editing. We also have our trusty Sony receiver powering a pair Sony home stereo speakers as a real-world audio reference. The Sony setup aids in the process of testing out how your finished product will sound in various playback environments.
