How is the artwork on my duplicated short run CD or DVD face reproduced? Is it silk screened like your regular replicated CDs and DVDs?
The duplicated short run CDs and DVDs are printed with the Rimage 480i printer which is an advanced pro-quality inkjet printer. It was co-developed by Rimage and Hewlett-Packard, the Rimage 480i employs the most advanced printing technology in the industry. It features the high resolution and awesome color management. The Rimage 480i has a droplet size of 3 picoliters ensuring maximum clarity in direct-to-disc printing.

What is the difference between a 'white disc' and a frosted silver disc?
A 'white disc' has white ink pre-printed on the face of the disc. We then put down the CMYK inkjet printing on top of that. This is what we recommend to achieve results that looks most like your proof. The 'silver frosted disc' is the standard silver color face of the CD or DVD that has a pearlescent finish on top. We then put down the CMYK inkjet printing on top of that.

Can I print to the center on my duplicated short run CD or DVD?
We have the ability to print to the center on our duplicated short run CDs and DVDs. However, we can only do so on 'white discs.' Print to center is not available on the 'frosted silver' discs.

Are the inks used waterproof?
We use pro-quality inkjet disc printers. However, they are not waterproof.

What is the standard turnaround time for duplicated short run CDs or DVDs?
While turntimes are not guaranteed, we can do our best to hit a date if you need us to. Generally, bulk discs usually take around 3-7 BUSINESS DAYS from receipt of all materials (master, reprights, deposit, shipping instructions) and art approval. Packaged discs usually take around 10 BUSINESS DAYS from receipt of all materials (master, reprights, deposit, shipping instructions) and art approval.

Do you have the ability to provide shrinkwrap on my duplicated short run CDs or DVDs?
At this time, we can only offer shrinkwrap on our 1000+ replicated CD and DVD packages. We cannot provide shrinkwrap on duplicated short run CDs or DVDs.
